Pine Grove Zoo,
located in Little Falls, is nestled among one
of the last standing grove of white pines in Minnesota. Meander
down paved paths and view a variety of exotic, native and
domestic animals at home in their spacious, natural habitats.
Interactive signs and a petting stable provide educational
encounters that will enhance your zoo visit and create long
lasting memories. The Zoo also offers serene walking trails
as well as large picnic and playground areas. To compliment
your zoo experience, a historic log cabin can be reserved
for all your special occasions.
Admission fees are charged Mid-April to Mid-October. Be sure
to visit the Pine Grove Zoo in Minnesota this year. The animals
would love to see you!

love of nature, a desire to learn about animals
in the wild, and learn how animals are cared
for at the zoo? Are you between the ages of
12 and 17. Then the Jr. Zoo Keeper Program might

Oetting, Head Zoo Keeper/Educator, at Pine Grove

Friday through Sunday plus at all events and

Reciprocity List
For Discounts at Other Zoos
Now Available
If you are a
member of Pine Grove Zoo you will now be able
to use your membership card in a new way. Zoos
around the country were asked to offer reciprocity
to members of Pine Grove Zoo and their members
in turn will receive the same discount to our
Zoo. The response was outstanding! Check
out the new section entitled Zoo Reciprocity
List. Any time you travel you should
check the list as it will continue to be updated
throughout the year. To use your membership
card at other zoos for the discount, it must
be accompanied by a picture ID.
New Bear Cubs Coming
For 2008 Season
You loved them
last season! They brought the New Bear Exhibit
to life. Bear Country USA once again will be
sending bear cubs to Pine Grove Zoo. We will
update you on their arrival, which will be sometime
towards the beginning of the 2008 season. The
2008 season starts in Mid-April. Don’t
miss out on the fun that these cubs can provide.

The finished entrance sign is very noticeable and quite
striking as you are coming from the east or west on
Highway 27. It is
hard to miss the entrance to Pine Grove Zoo.

“Pine Grove
Zoo is a “Gem”
Have you ever used a AAA Tourbook when
you travel? You might have noticed the
gem symbol . It also has the word “gem”
written beside it and notes when a tour
site is found to be more than you would
expect. In talking with a man from AAA
who was getting updated information from
Pine Grove Zoo to put in the 2008 tour
books, I asked him, how do you get this
symbol and “gem” by your name
in the tour book because Pine Grove Zoo
and Park is a pure “gem”.
Visitors from across Minnesota, the United
States, and yes, even, the world have
said how impressed they were with the
warm and friendly staff, being able to
get up close to the animals, the cleanliness
and how well kept the zoo is, the beautiful
landscaping and natural atmosphere, and
its healthy and content looking animals.
They are so surprised to find a zoo of
this caliber in Little Falls, Minnesota.
That has to be “gem” quality
plus there is a beautiful park and playground
adjacent to the Zoo, which is open to
the public. The admission fee for the
Zoo in 2008 will be $3.00 for 4 years
of age and older. (Admission is charge
from Mid-April to Mid-October. Check the
upper left hand corner for specifics on
hours.) That is a bargain for a true “gem”
of a place to visit. Keep us in mind when
you are traveling through Minnesota.

Improvements
Impress Visitors
The
$400,000 that the Minnesota Legislature awarded
Pine Grove Zoo has been doing just what it was
meant to do. The Main Building is completed
and houses: Veterinary Care Area, Offices, Employee
Area, Food Prep for the Animals and the Garage/Storage
Area. Also, finished just in time for the beginning
of our summer season is the Public Restrooms
inside the Zoo.
The pathways have been paved and landscaping
the lookout areas will be next. The Zoo now
has its secondary fence back up so it is safe
for our visitors to walk around on their own.
It has certainly changed the look of our Zoo!
We are proud to invite you to come and spend
the day. Our visitors have been impressed with
the improvements that have been made. The friendly
staff and volunteers have been hearing many
positive comments and the guest book has been
giving us great feedback. Come and check us
out!
