Siberian Tiger
(panthera tigris altaica)
Habitat: Native to Northern Asia, Southeastern Siberia, Notheastern China and Northeast Korea.
Vitals: Brownish yellow to orange red with black stripes, paler than southern species. 9.5 to 11 feet long, 450-750 pounds. Females a foot shorter and 100 pounds lighter. Largest of all cats.
Diet: Deer, pigs and carrion. Can eat as much as 70 pounds in a single night. Feed once or twice a week.
Breeding: Gestation 14-15 weeks, 1-7 cubs per litter, weaned at 5-6 months, adult at 3 years.
Behavior/Adaptions: Only a few hundred left in the wild. 8 sub-species; Javan(extinct), Sumatran, Bengal, Siberian, Indochinese, South China, Caspian(extinct) and Bali(extinct).
At the PGZ: "Kitty" female, B-1994, 550 lbs. Some debate if she is a Siberian or a Bengal.   "Anika" female, B-1999, 550 lbs. Sibling to "Micah".   "Micah" male, B-1999, 675 lbs. Sibling to "Anika".
